The Delta Completion Scholarship

The Delta Completion Scholarship is available to students who are at least halfway through their program of study and meet all of the eligibility requirements below.

The purpose of the scholarship is to provide students with financial assistance and success tools to help students complete their educational goal.

DEADLINE: The deadline to submit the scholarship application is 5:00pm on May 14, 2021.

Each scholarship awarded will be $5,000 for the 2021-2022 academic year. The scholarship will be disbursed half ($2,500) in Fall 2021 and half ($2,500) in Spring 2022 as long as the student continues to meet the qualifications.

It is anticipated that the students chosen for this scholarship will be notified via their Delta College email account in June 2021.

Please read through the following eligibility requirements and, if you qualify, complete the autobiography requirement below and submit the application by the deadline of May 14, 2021.

Eligibility Criteria:
Students MUST meet ALL of the following criteria in order to be considered for the scholarship:

• Students must have a 2021-2022 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) OR CADAA (California Dream Act Application) on file.
• Students must be eligible for a California College Promise Grant Fee Waiver for 2021-2022 (based on FAFSA/CADAA application).
• Students must be working towards a certificate or degree program at San Joaquin Delta College OR plan to transfer to a 4-year university.
• Students must enroll in 12 units for Fall 2021 and 12 units for Spring 2022.
• Students must have a 2.0 minimum GPA (each semester and cumulative).
• Students must have a Student Education Plan on file in the Counseling Department.
• Students must be at least half-way through their educational goal based on the Student Education Plan on file in the Counseling Department.
• Students must be following their Student Education Plan.
• The student must have a realistic plan to finish the remainder of their goal within 2 years.
• Students pursuing a degree or transfer must also meet two of the following three criteria:
1. Have completed a transfer level English course by Summer 2021.
2. Have completed a transfer level Math course by Summer 2021.
3. Have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.

Students chosen for this scholarship will be expected to:

• Check in with an Academic Counselor once per semester
• Check in with their Success Coach once per semester
• Maintain at least a 2.0GPA
